Belize Regulator IFSC Warns Against Bitcoin Wallet Company Birch Stone Limited

Belize financial regulator IFSC has issued a Warning Notice regarding a company called Birch Stone Limited. It has come to the notice of the International Financial Services Commission of Belize (IFSC) that Birch Stone Limited, an International Business Company registered in Belize, operating with trading name Bitlio, is offering bitcoin wallet services which allows its clients to buy, sell, store and trade bitcoins.

IFSC has confirmed that this entity is not licensed by the International Financial Services Commission or any other competent authority in Belize to conduct any type of bitcoin business.

Birch Stone Limited is therefore directed to cease and desist from carrying on with the said unlicensed activities which constitute an offence under the laws of Belize.

All persons concerned are warned to take note and exercise extreme caution.
